Synergy is a parallel processing system that offers scalable fault tolerant parallel processing using multiple networked Unix machines. It is a software system that uses Passive Objects as an interface to new and existing applications for parallel processing.  The use of passive objects allows developing efficient parallel applications across multiple Unix machines and networks. Synergy uses the Stateless Parallel Processing (SPP) concept to achieve fully automatic processor assignments and fault tolerance.
