Grading

• Exams: 60% (Mid-term 25%, Final 35%, closed-book, allowing a single page of note)
• Quizzes: 25%
• Homework: 10%
• Participation: 5%

Policies and Rules

• Attendance to all lectures,recitations, and examinations is required. Late arrival or early leaving are not allowed except in special situations.
• No eating, talking, sleeping during the lectures. Cellphone cannot be used.
• All work submitted for credit must be your own. You may discuss the homework problems with your classmates, the teaching assistant, and the instructor. You must acknowledge the people with whom you discussed your work, and you must write up your own solutions. You may not consult any solutions from previous years' assignments whether they are student or faculty generated. Plagiarism will be handled with severe measures. Temple has established a blanket policy on the use of generative AI tools. For this course, the use of such tools is allowed, though should be acknowledged with other references. Students should be familiar with the Student Conduct Code of the university.
