Fall 2003
All CIS students who do not currently
have a Temple computer account may obtain an AccessNet account. An AccessNet account allows you to log in
and use Temple University's computer resources, such as the Astro Unix system and TUportal,
which includes TUmail, Blackboard, and the Cherry & White Pages.
Procedure for student
accounts
All CIS
students who do not currently have a Temple computer account will be assigned
an AccessNet account. Students have two
options for opening an account: they
can open an account online or at any of the Account Centers listed on the back
page of this document.
· A student can open an account online if he/she has been registered for 24 hours. To open an account online, go to the Account Activation website at:
http://accounts.temple.edu
and follow the directions to obtain your
AccessNet username and password.
·
To open an
account at one of the Account Centers, students must bring a validated Temple
ID to receive their accounts. For
security reasons, no account information will be given out by phone or e-mail
or distributed to third persons.
Procedure for special
situations
There may be exceptions to the
eligibility requirements mentioned above, such as:
·
Students
who are not currently enrolled in CIS classes but who are finishing an
incomplete CIS course, or
·
CIS
Graduate Assistants who do not have a validated ID due to financial
processing.
In these cases, students should contact
Jackie Harriz (215-204-1614) in the CIS Department, on the 3rd floor
of Wachman Hall.
