Admission Information for the CIS Graduate Programs

Application Requirements:
  1. Applicants should have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 system.
  2. The GRE examination is required.  The typical applicant to the CIS Graduate Program has a score 156 and above, which is equivalent to the 64th, and above, percentile on the Quantitative section of the GRE exam.  The minimum total score required on the new GRE is 300.
  3. For applicants whose native language is not English, the TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE Academic Exam is required.  The minimum TOEFL/IELTS standard as set by the Graduate School of 79 for the TOEFL and 6.5 for the IELTS is strictly enforced in the admissions process.  International applicants that have either completed an undergraduate or graduate program in the United States or that has obtained a degree from an institution where the instruction was conducted in English will be applicable for a TOEFL/IELTS waiver once all transcripts have been received, reviewed and approved by the Graduate School.
