Dr. Avinash Srinivasan earned his B.E. (Industrial Production, 1999) from University of Mysore with Honors and M.S. (Computer Science, 2003) from Pace University, New York with Computer Science Distinguished Achievement Award for Academic Excellence. He received Ph.D. in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University in Aug. 2008. During his doctoral studies, he was a recipient of two prestigious university-wide awards - Newell Doctoral Fellowship and Graduate Fellowship for Academic Excellence.
Dr. Srinivasan joined Temple University as an Associate Professor Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences in Fall 2014. Prior to this, he was an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science department at George Mason University (2012-2014) and Assistant Professor of Computer Forensics at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania (2008-2012).
Dr. Srinivasan has been actively engaged in research on network security and forensics, forensic analysis of file systems, macintosh forensics, reputation and trust-based security models for wireless and sensor networks, and terrorist network modeling. He has published 43 papers in top conferences including IEEE INFOCOM, ACM SAC, IEEE ICC, IEEE ICNC, and IEEE ICCCN. He welcomes any research/project collaboration on the above research topics.
He has helped establish an Education Partnership Agreement (EPA) between Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center (DoD DC3) and Temple University, and serve as the Program Manager overseeing the EPA.
